“We know Washington is broken. Let’s fix it together and retire Lindsey Graham.”

GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA – May 14 – Lee Johnson, an engineer and businessman from Greenville, launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, challenging Lindsey Graham.

“I wasn’t born into politics, I was born in a construction family, operating heavy equipment before I could drive,” Johnson said. “My family taught me how to build things - like roads and bridges - and I’ve carried that with me everywhere: from construction sites and factory floors to boardrooms.”

Johnson continued, “I believe America is still a land of opportunity and our best days are still ahead of us. We can build a better future through innovation, but that takes new leaders.”

Johnson has pledged to not take any corporate PAC money. As Senator, he will fight to ban members of Congress from trading stocks and profiting from public service, and he is committed to only serving two terms.

“Lindsey Graham built a career for himself,” Johnson said. “I’ve spent my life building for others. I’ll protect Social Security and Medicare. I’ll work to bring down grocery prices and prescription drug costs. I’ll fight to make healthcare more affordable. And I will show up everywhere for the people of South Carolina.”
